ACRE is a division of the International Conservation Foundation, a California 501(c)(3). We plan, direct and monitor reforestation, fuels reduction and ecosystem restoration on public and private land alongside land managers.

We use an adaptive project management approach inspired by the Incident Command System (ICS). This structure allows field operations to expand or contract based on project needs, with clear communication and predictable execution across phases.
Our foresters and natural resource specialists walk treatment units with agency staff before work begins. We supervise and inspect field work against agreed prescriptions and schedules, monitor results and share the data with partners.
ACRE supports the collection of local native seed and planting of regionally appropriate trees as part of restoration work.
We use field monitoring and shared data to review progress with partners, adjust prescriptions and improve future work.
