We restore forests and ecosystems that protect lives, the environment and property.

ACRE is a division of the International Conservation Foundation, built to help major land-management partners, especially the U.S. Forest Service, address forest management and wildfire risk. We plan and carry out reforestation, fuels reduction, and ecosystem restoration alongside land managers.

Our mission is to protect lives, the environment and property while creating healthy, resilient forests and ecosystems.

What We Believe

Environmental work only matters if it can actually be executed. That means clear scopes, work with land managers, and decisions grounded in field conditions instead of abstraction.

We believe quality of life belongs at the center of this work. Healthy forests, safer communities, stronger rural economies, and careful field work are not separate outcomes. They are connected.

How We Work

We plan with our partners, direct and inspect field work, and measure results so the next season's work is better.

• We assess technical, operational, regulatory, and financial risk up front.
• We plan, supervise and inspect field work against agreed prescriptions and schedules.
• We monitor results, share data with partners and use what we learn to improve future work.

What Success Looks Like

Success is not a press release. It is acres restored, risk reduced, work completed well, communities better positioned because the work was done right, and results we can show our partners in the data.
