ACRE is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on restoring, protecting, and sustainably managing forests, watersheds, and working landscapes. We bridge the gap between planning and implementation through disciplined project delivery and coordinated partnerships.
We collaborate with public agencies, tribal governments, private landowners, and community stakeholders. Our role is to reduce implementation barriers, coordinate partners, and support consistent, accountable project delivery.
Core services include fuels management and land preparation; environmental compliance support aligned with CEQA/NEPA; reforestation and seedling supply coordination; landowner recruitment and engagement; and end-to-end project delivery support.
ACRE is California-based and supports projects nationwide. We also supply and coordinate sustainably grown seedlings for projects nationwide, depending on scope and capacity.
We use an adaptive project management approach inspired by the Incident Command System (ICS). This structure allows operations to expand or contract based on project needs, with clear communication and predictable execution across phases.
We vet contractors and technical specialists using references and direct verification of past performance. Our process emphasizes transparent communication, rigorous risk assessment, and clear documentation to support defensible outcomes.
ACRE supplies sustainably grown seedlings and supports logistics for restoration projects. We prioritize high-quality, regionally appropriate planting stock coordinated to meet project needs.
We use technology to improve communication and operational efficiency, including ArcGIS Online (AGOL) for real-time updates on plans and progress. This helps partners stay informed throughout all project phases.
